The recently opened “The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum” (ZISAGM) in Budapest (Hungary) has reportedly an entire hall dedicated to Hindu Lord Shiva.

Most of the artifacts at this Museum are reportedly of gold and go as far back as prehistoric times and come from 11 countries. Besides Shiva, its collection also includes Hindu Lord Ganesha from Indonesian Archipelago.

Applauding ZISAGM for exhibiting Hinduism focused art, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that art had a long and rich tradition in Hinduism and ancient Sanskrit literature talked about religious paintings of deities on wood or cloth.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, urged other museums of Hungary and Europe to frequently organize Hindu art focused exhibitions and increase their collection of Hindu artifacts, thus sharing the rich Hindu art heritage with the rest of the world.

Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal.

Hungary is known for Lake Balaton, romantic Danube River, Franz Liszt and Bela Bartok. Pal Schmitt and Viktor Orban are President and Prime Minister respectively.
