The news on Rajinikanth-Kamal Hassan teaming up again with Marudhanayagam, which was on cold storage for over a decade, has turned out to be a baseless speculation.
The film was launched by Queen Elizabeth II in 1997 and has been long pending in the production stage. The film didn’t continue due to several constraintsâ€.
Recently it was rumoured as, “Kamal will be reviving work on his pet project, ‘Marudhanayagam’, that went on floors more than a decade back. He is reported to have said that there is a particular role in the film which would be very apt for his dear friend Rajinikanthâ€.
Now the news is cleared that it is a false. Kamal’s manager has come out with the news on microblogging site that, “The news on reviving Marudhanayagam, is a 15 year old news and Rajinikanth starring in it is baseless.â€
After Vishwaroobham, Kamal is doing Thalaivan Irukinran for Oscar films. Now he is busy shooting at Mumbai for Vishwaroobham.â€
